Making sure you own your own IT
When a company changes IT provider, or the person who set everything up leaves, the same question comes up: who holds the keys? Admin passwords, the domain registrar login, the Apple Business Manager account, the device management platform and the licences are often in the old provider's name or one person's head. A takeover moves all of that into your company's control first, then fixes what needs fixing.
What we take over
Admin access. Super-admin accounts for Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, your identity provider, device management, firewall and anything else with an admin console. Old provider accounts are removed once ours work, and every admin login has MFA.
Domains and DNS. The registrar account moved into your name, DNS records documented, and email security records checked while we are there.
Apple Business Manager. Your devices assigned to an account your company owns, so new Macs and iPhones enrol automatically and are not tied to the outgoing provider.
Devices. Every Mac, iPhone and iPad moved into device management you control. If the old provider ran it on their own platform, we migrate the fleet as an MDM migration.
Licences and renewals. Subscriptions listed with their owner, cost and renewal date, with billing moved to your company where a reseller holds it.
Documentation. A written record of the whole setup, owned by you, kept up to date from then on.
How it works
Before the switch: audit. A read-only review of what you can already reach, which tells you what the handover involves before you give notice. Our inherited IT setups page explains the audit.
Week 1: Secure. Admin access transferred and checked, old accounts removed, MFA on every admin login. The riskiest gaps found in the audit are closed first.
Weeks 2 to 4: Move. Domains, Apple Business Manager, device management and licences moved into your name. We deal with the outgoing provider directly so you are not left passing messages between us.
Weeks 4 to 6: Tidy up. Unused accounts and licences removed, devices brought up to date, and the documentation finished.
Why Stabilise
We specialise in Apple, so Mac and iPhone fleets that were run as an afterthought by a Windows-first provider are familiar ground. Everything we set up is in your name, in accounts your company owns, so the next handover, if there ever is one, is simple.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if the old provider will not cooperate? Most do, because the contract usually requires it. Where they do not, Google, Microsoft and Apple all have routes for a company to prove ownership and recover its own admin access, and we take you through them.
Does our team notice the switch? Very little. Most of the work happens in admin consoles. People may see a device management prompt on their Mac and a new support contact.
Can you start before our old contract ends? Yes. The audit and planning can happen during the notice period, so the handover is ready on the day the old contract finishes.
What if nothing is documented? That is the usual starting point. The audit produces the documentation.
